News From The Gestalt Project

Introduced from 28th June 1999, this news page has been created to provide an ongoing archive of new information from Gestalt and to provide a central point for access to downloads of public documents.

April 2000:

The latest version (Version 3) of the document "D0401 Courseware Metadata Design" is now available for download. It details the design of the metadata which is being developed to describe the online learning resources being used within the GESTALT Project. This document takes the form of an Adobe® Portable Document Format (.PDF) file.

Also made available for download (as a zipped Word file) is the document: "Integrating IMS Enterprise, PAPI and Gestalt UOM Data Models - V3". With the recent release of the IMS Enterprise data model (IMSE) addressing a similar problem space to Gestalt's EPAPI and UOM models it makes sense to try to converge the two into a common implementation. This document outlines a proposed way of converging the two data models.
